Metro Boxes Get an Upgrade on 34th Street

The 34th Street Partnership in cooperation with multiple newspapers including Metro New York, unveiled redesigned newspaper racks to replace the current ones in the area around Herald Square and Penn Station.

The new dispensers are part of an effort to reduce sidewalk clutter and make the area easier to navigate for the thousands of pedestrians that pass through on a daily basis.

The new racks offer an “improvement to the Metro experience”, said Yggers Mortensen, CEO of Metro US.
